Papers are to be typed in 12 font, double-spaced, and written using correct English and proof-read to avoid typographical and spelling errors. Please follow the format listed below for your complete written research project.

Introduction to the topic; Problem Statement or Research Question (s)

  1. Introduction to the topic
    1. Give a clear description why this research is important
    2. Give a problem statement
    3. State your hypothesis
    4. Rationale / Significance of study

1 PAGE ONLY

Define the question(s) you wanted to investigate in this study. Identify the variables you included in the study and define relevant definitions. Explain your reasons for pursuing this project. Why is it significant? If it has been researched before, why do you feel it should be repeated or how is your project different?

  1. Review of Literature

Literature review outlining the previously work done in this area. State the importance of your proposed research in light of previously work done   in the field.

The review of literature should be comprehensive, using secondary texts for your definitions and basic information, and current journals for the review of research already conducted. The grade will be based on your selection of relevant information, your understanding of the information, how you organize it, the grammar and style, the content of the reference section and whether it follows exactly, the AMA or APA guidelines. You need between 12-15 references. Minimal internet sources may also be included.

The literature review should “tell the story” of what has been done in your field of interest and conclude stressing how your further strengthen the cause and why it is important to do.
