Career Choices In Criminal Justice

  • How can a law enforcement officer’s unethical behavior or aligning him/herself with questionable individuals (i.e. individuals who are associated with questionable activities, such as illegal drug sales, individuals who are known to be associated to other crimes such as domestic violence, burglaries, larcenies, computer child pornography, fraud, drinking and driving, etc.) create a liability for the agency in which the law enforcement officer works?
  • Could this impact the agency politically? How might it affect a Sheriff or Chief?
  • Could it affect victims’ cases? If so, in what way?
