contemporary japan website review

In 2 to 3 double-spaced pages, you will review one of the following websites.

You should think of yourself as a tour guide for the museum. Describe the contents of the website, what exhibits and other sections there are, what historical information is available for the visitor (if any), and any other valuable information there is to share.

As someone who is studying contemporary Japanese society, you should also offer your opinion on whether or not the website has any value for students. What were the best and worst parts of the website? Would you consider your website a good starting point for further research into modern Japanese history, especially Japan’s wartime history?

You will be graded on your ability to discuss the contents of the website (including its strengths and weaknesses), your writing style, and following standard academic guidelines.

You may visit the websites in the language of your choice but you must use the English language pages for your writing assignment and the references.

No additional research is required or desired. If you quote directly from the website, you must conform to standard academic practice – so use “quotation marks” for direct quotes and use footnotes for links to the webpage.[1]
