John Smith is a naturalized American citizen from Afghanistan. However on his application for citizenship, he left out some things or made some things up-
That he fought with the Taliban at Tora Bora against U.S. forces in late 2001.
That he claimed on his application that he fought against the Taliban with the Northen Alliance.
That his name isn’t really “John Smith”
That he isn’t even from Afghanistan, but is a fugitive opium smuggler from Tajikistan.
Does John have any problems if DHS ever discovers these deceptions? Explain.
