A brief, one-page analysis of assigned readings will be due at the beginning of each course meeting. These should discuss salient themes with respect to class discussions and relevant similarities/differences between them. (That is, answer questions such as “Why have these essays been assigned together?” or “What do these texts have to do with this class and/or architecture?” rather than simply describing their contents.) As these analyses are short, clarity and precision of language will be crucial to their success. The best 9 of 10 responses will count toward final grade.
