evidence and credibility discussion 2 questions

This week’s readings focus on finding credible evidence to support arguments you will make in your argumentation papers. Evidence is used to provide the “backing” for arguments, one of the six essential components of the Toulmin model of argumentation. Evidence is how assertions and opinions are verified as accurate, plausible, or worthy of consideration. However finding credible evidence remains a difficult task, especially in the contemporary age of information.

In this week’s discussion I want you all to weigh in on two other terms often associated with credibility: Bias and Objectivity. Your textbook does a good job on separating these terms into different discussions, as they are related but not the same thing.

For this week’s discussion respond to the following questions:

1. What advice does the textbook provide to determine a source as credible?

2. Does a source of evidence have to be unbiased to be considered credible? Give an example to support.

Please no plagiarizing! This is a discussion- doesn’t have to be essay format
