Greek City-States

Athens and Sparta were the largest and most powerful of the Greek city-states and were somewhat polar opposites. This unit will make you familiar with each and show you the differences.

Assignments:

PART 1:

Use your impressions of Athens and Sparta to discuss and compare daily life in the two city-states.

PART 2:

Compare and contrast monarchy, aristocracy, tyranny, oligarchy, and democracy as forms of government in Ancient Greek city-states.

The paper should be at least 500 words long with proper formatting and use of APA standards for citation. The paper should also include an introduction, body, and conclusion.

Consider the following questions for reflection:
