In the essay, On Writing, Stephen King said, “When you are writing a story, you are telling yourself the story, when you rewrite, your main job is taking out all the things that are not the story.”
Explain King’s statement in context of his writing as included in your text and describe your response to his statement by tracing the argument included in this statement. Do you find any personal similarities with King’s views on effective writing or do you suggest different and additional strategies for effective writing?
