Compute the mean and the standard deviation of the number of wins for the 10 teams with the highest salaries. Do the same for the 10 teams with the lowest salaries.

a) Is there a difference in the mean number of wins for the two groups? Test at two appropriate significance levels and comment on your findings.

b) Construct a 95% confidence interval for the difference in the mean.

7)Summary:

i) Briefly summarize what you did for this project and what you found.

ii) Discuss any shortcoming of the methods you used to gather data. Include response / non response bias in your report and ways to overcome them. Provide an example in which response bias occurred. State an action that you would take to address this issue.

iii) Did you discover anything that surprised you when you analyzed the data? Do you think the results would have been different if you had bigger sample sizes? If you had to do the project again, how would you do it differently?
