I need it by Nov 10 and it needs to be 1200 double space

Your paper in this class will focus on the assessment of your own lifestyle and recommended changes for better health. This health analysis will cover the major areas covered in this class. You may make use of inventories and tests discovered while reading and studying for this class and any actual medical tests you have had in the past year. The purpose of this is to increase your awareness of your own health lifestyle and ways that it could be improved. There will be two major components — a focus on general assessment measures (including your personal assessment) along with recommendations for personal lifestyle changes. In the Assessment section you need to find definitions, assessment tools, questionnaires, and/or guidelines that demonstrate understanding of the concepts. You are to write at least a 1200 word paper that is worth 15% of your grade. Please use APA format and cite at least four (4) sources. There are guidelines on using APA format and citing sources posted in Student Resources for you. Please submit your research paper by Sunday of Week 3.

Please ensure that the following topics are covered in your paper:

I. Assessment Measures

A. Diet

B. Exercise

C. Job and personal stress management

D. Risk factors for cardiovascular disease

E. Risk factors for cancer, diabetes and other illnesses

F. Family history and social support

G. Self-Esteem, sense of control and other psychological issues

II. Personal status and Recommendations For Personal Lifestyle Changes

Assignment Requirements (Use as a checklist):

Use a 10 or 12 pt Arial or Times New Roman Font

Double-space paper

Minimum of 1200 words.

Minimum of four (4) cited sources

Use APA format and parenthetical citations right after cited material (See below)

Make sure your name is on your paper

Extra pointers:

Thesis statements are at the end of the introduction paragraph and outline the key points that the rest of the paper will cover. This helps organize your work as you include a separate paragraph for each of the key points from your thesis in the body of your paper. Here are some good sources to help you – http://www.indiana.edu/~wts/pamphlets/thesis_statement.shtml and http://owl.english.purdue.edu/owl/resource/545/01/

It would be a very useful tool for you all to refer to the assessment measure that you used for each of these categories (even including the webpage or textbook page) so that you can revisit this assessment process again in the future. For example, in the section on physical activity you could use this website and refer to this information –

https://health.gov/paguidelines/guidelines/summary.aspx

summarizing

You need to provide an introduction, a short summary, analysis, and a conclusion. The rest of the paper must link the film to World history. Much of the review should focus on analysis—the arguments presented and whether the film portrays history accurately and why. This will lead you to the ranking for the film—excellent, good, poor? You can also use numerical values and justify your ranking. As you analyze the film, you will need to cite some segments to support your arguments. You can also bring in the material from class materials and any outside material you may have. Cite your sources. Please refer to the film review rubric below.

1. Why did Fuller believe that the phrase “All men are born free and equal” was not made in vain?

2. Why were some people afraid of giving women equal rights?

3. Did Fuller believe that society had made some progress in gender issues?

4. How did Fuller’s advocacy of woman’s rights fit within the Transcendentalist school of thought?

Requirements:

Why are Right-wing extremism (reactionaries) orientated towards the past, more realistic

Full question is:

Why are Right-wing extremism (reactionaries) orientated towards the past, more realistic, supports the current system or wishes to improve upon it, and often defends nationalist
issues?

Absolutely NO PLAGIARISM !!!
These will be 5+ pages each (they can and should be longer), based on a Chapter Question, starting with the textbook then at least five other sources from any legitimate mainstream book, journal article, periodical, or newspaper.
No dictionaries or encyclopedias, especially Wikipedia, are allowed. You must properly cite a source using the APA Style for anything that is not common knowledge, let alone if you quote from it. The more sources and citations, the better your grade will be (good social science needs cited facts to back it up). I will also expect these
Use standard formatting (double-spaced, 12 point Times or Times New Roman, normal margins, page numbering, etc.).
DO NOT do a Title Page or sub-headings. Do a Works Cites section (which will not count for length).

In the book is just some basic info, mostly it needs outside sources and the more sources, the better it will get.
And citation is extremely important as well. Do at least 4 or 5 citation and references. Just remember, we need to cite from the book, but not much, mainly looking for outside sources.

Controversy: Agree on a Definition of Abnormal

Before working on this discussion, please read Chapter 1 in the course text, the articles by Szasz (1960) and Ausubel (1961), and review any Instructor Guidance.

For this discussion, you will enter into a dialogue regarding a classic and ongoing controversy within abnormal psychology. Specifically, what is the definition of abnormal psychology?

As you enter into the conversation, provide your definition of abnormal psychology. Relate historical events that influenced your thought process as you created your definition. Identify a major theoretical perspective that closely matches your definition. What diagnoses come to mind when defining abnormal psychology?

Read Chapter 1 in the course text and both of the articles by Szasz (1960) and Ausubel (1961). Keep in mind that Ausubel’s argument is that mental illness is real (e.g., we have evidence of it in biology) and Szasz’s argument is that mental illness is a myth (e.g., a social construct much like gender). How do Ausubel and Szasz contribute to our class definition of abnormal psychology?

Does a person’s behavior constitute what’s normal or abnormal or is it the person who says when they feel normal or abnormal. How much of what’s considered normal is judged to be so by outsides forces and how much is actually up to the person in question?

Modern art ( regular writing, no reference only book)

Reading assignment: For next time, read pages 90 to 106 in chapter 5.

There are three options for this week’s writing assignment. You only have to write a response to one of them; choose the one that interests you the most.

Option 1: After reading about Fauvism, choose one painting from the reading that you think presents a good example of the style. You should consider both visual appearance and Fauvist concepts when you make your choice. Your selection can come from Matisse’s Fauve period (in the book, that’s pages 92 to 98), or one of the other Fauves who are discussed in chapter 5 (Derain, Vlaminck, or Dufy). In your response, describe the work and tell me why it represents Fauvism well; you should cover things like the artist’s use of color, the way the paint is handled, the subject matter, the emotional qualities of the painting, or anything else about it that’s characteristic of the Fauvist style and ideas.

OR

Option 2: Identify a work by Matisse—either a painting or a sculpture—that reflects the influence of either Primitivism or African art (or both). Describe the work, focusing on how that influence is shown in it either visually, or conceptually, or both.

OR

Option 3: Compare the two dining room paintings by Matisse that are in the reading: the early painting on page 91 (figure 5.1) and the one from about 12 years later that’s on page 103 (figure 5.21). What do both images share, and in what ways are they different? Why does each look the way it does (specifically, what artistic ideas was Matisse trying to express in each, and how did that make the two paintings look different from each other)? You might want to consider what Matisse was trying to do with painting at the time each image was made, and how that led Matisse to create what you can see in each image. You can also think about presenting your answer as a discussion of how Matisse’s ideas and techniques evolved between 1896 and 1908.

Social Work

Richard Nixon used the term “the silent majority of law-abiding citizens” to describe white people who rebelled against civil rights. How does this compare to the Donald Trump presidential campaign and election of 2016? What are similarities and differences to the plights of vulnerable groups in 2016 compared to those in the 1970s? What messages did Nixon give conservative voters that were echoed by Trump? What were similar and different responses of liberals, social reformers, and vulnerable populations of the 1972 election compared to the 2016 election?

Source Analysis Paper (5-7 pages)

You are required to write a Source Analysis Paper (5-7 pages) on a topic of your choice about California history before 1900, using at least FOUR approved primary sources from the approved databases posted on CANVAS. Each source that you use must contain at least 1500 words and must have been written by historical participants or observers, not by historians. (Ask Prof. Gendzel if you are unsure.) Download the Source Analysis Paper Instructions from CANVAS for more information about this assignment. You are expressly forbidden to use any sources with fewer than 1500 words, any sources written by historians (not participants or observers), and any sources not from the approved databases posted on CANVAS. Your Source Analysis Paper must follow all instructions to receive a passing grade

building an argumentative research paper on my topic which is why are some people immune to HIV

As always, copy and paste the questions into your responses in order to receive

credit.

Answer in complete sentences, using Academic writing.

Revise and edit responses carefully.

Do not use quotes, statistics, or detailed facts from a single source here; aim for the

big picture.

1. While you don’t have to have a perfectly worded statement, give a tentative thesis

(also can be thought of as the main idea or main argument) you have in mind for your

research paper. In other words, what are you going to argue? Explain how it meets

the four criteria for a strong thesis statement given on slide three.

2. Give three reasons why your thesis is true. Note that “reasons” are not quotes,

statistics, or something an expert said. Another way to think of it is the main support

for the thesis.

3.Explain one view held by experts that goes against your thesis, and explain why

that view is incorrect. For instance, say you’ve taken the stance that texting and

driving should result in suspension of driving privileges for a month. However, some

experts believe that texting and driving should result in jail time. Why are those

experts right.

Observation Collaboration

Observation Collaboration

This week you will complete an observation activity in your community. This activity will help prepare you for the Week 7 Assignment. This Forum is unique so read the instructions and point values carefully.

Write a 500+ word initial post that includes these components:

  • Observation:
    • Go to a public place and observe the people there for 25 minutes. What are the details of the location? Describe the general context (time of day, lighting, sounds, vibe/energy, etc.). Describe the people around you and their sociodemographic characteristics (age, race/ethnicity, gender/sex, socioeconomic status, etc.).
  • Norms:
    • Identify two or more social norms that people engaged in at the public place. A norm is a social rule. There are many norms that help to frame how we are supposed to behave in our daily lives, one example is gender norms (what are social rules we follow to ‘be masculine’ and to ‘be feminine’); another example is standing in line (consider what would happen if you cut everyone in line at 8am in a Starbucks?).
  • Concepts:
    • How do these norms you observed in the scene fit with sociological concepts and theories we’ve learned so far in class? Some examples of sociological concepts we’ve learned about so far include gender roles and emotional labor. (What is a sociological concept? See below).
  • Reflection:
    • Reflect on your experience. How was this observing others through a sociological lens different from when you’ve “people watched” in the past? What perspectives do you think a sociologist can bring to our understanding of everyday human behavior?
  • Active Forum Engagement:
    • Remember to write at least three 100+ peer responses. As with our other Forums, two responses need to be to peer posts and one response needs to be to someone who commented on your post. In any public scene, all of us will notice different things, and find different observations important or unimportant. In your peer responses, help one another identify sociodemographic characteristics, social norms, or sociological concepts that the classmate may not have noticed. Consider helping one another notice common themes in the types of public places you choose and your observations of people in those scenes.
  • Writing Skills: 5 points
    • Post is 500+ words. All posts reflect widely accepted academic writing protocols like using capital letters (“I am” not “i am”), cohesive sentences, and no texting language. Dialogue is also polite and respectful of different points of view.

What is a “sociological concept?” They are all the bold terms and phrases within the text, such as “socialization,” “norms” and “folkways.” Additionally, the entire glossary contains sociological concepts.

The Week 5 Forum meets the following course objectives:

  • Apply a sociological perspective to the social world
  • Analyze contemporary social issues using the sociological imagination and use sociological theories and concepts to analyze everyday life.
